Employment Opportunities
We are always on the look out for new staff to work in the field of disability support services. The most important requisite for our staff is that they are client-focussed, respect the people they support and want to support the client to experience the best possible quality of life.
We have a culture of innovation where our employees can make a difference and we are looking for like-minded, dynamic individuals to come and join our rapidly expanding team.
Below is our current list of vacancies. If you wish to submit your application, please send it via e-mail, or you can fax us at the number listed below. Thanks!
- Disability Support Worker - Level 4
Must have a minimum of 5 years in our field or a related industry. Applicant must have a Certificate 4 in Disability Studies and/or long term experience. We encourage and support our staff to take up a traineeship or support them to gain a Certificate 4 if required.
- Disability Support Worker - Level 3
employees can enter the disability workforce at this level if you have the right values and attitudes. We will provide in-house training as well as support you to achieve your Certificate 3 in Community Services (Disability).
While some positions are permanent part-time positions (30 hours per week), Optia also has a pool of casual staff who are able to work across most of our service centres when required. This is also a great way to become known in the organisation for when a permanent position becomes available.
Optia wants to have a career pathway for our staff, and so there are opportunities for working up the ladder. Training for staff with appropriate skills and experience in management is encouraged and supported, as good managers are hard to find. Again, we like to promote form within.
